Not Really a New Year's Resolution

I'm going back to OA this year. It's not really a resolution, January 1 just seemed like a good date to restart everything, but it's stuff I was doing before and busyness got in the way. So I'm back on my food plan, which I'm listing below for posterity and a slight bit of review. I managed to stick to it for 3ish months in 2005, so that's something.

1) 3 meals a day- no snacks. Meals can be anything I want as long as they fit with the rest of the guidelines, but meals have a defined start and finish, no "grazing" meals.
2) No adding salt to things once they are on my plate (meaning I can use salt for cooking). I L-O-V-E salt. It's pretty amazing that I don't have high blood pressure. The only exception to this is when eating with my parents since my dad is on a low salt diet and there is no salt at all added to whatever is cooked for him, so we salt on our plates.
3) Ranch dressing on salad only, i.e. no dipping things in ranch dressing. This one hurts, but it's better for me anyway.
4) No fast food.
5) No sweets, which means no dessert when eating out with friends.

I lost 25 pounds the first month of doing this plan, and about 10 more pounds in the next two months, and I had some slip ups and times when I knew I was straying, or I think I could have lost more.

Here's to trying yet again.
