It's official. I don't like red apples. Every time I have one, I find it mealy and too sweet and I just can't force myself to eat it. I have lots of food texture issues, which is why I don't like most fruit. Early this year, I saw something in the produce aisle that caught my attention- the "3 a day" diet, where you eat an apple before every meal. Personally, I think it was probably propaganda to sell more apples and try to get Americans to eat better, but when I thought about it, an apple is solid. Eating an apple before a meal can help fill you up so you eat less, and it's good for you. I'm not really doing it anymore, just because I go to the grocery store so rarely and two weeks worth of 3 apples a day is a lot of apples. But I've probably eaten more apples in 2005 than I have in the last 5 years combined.
